		<abstract>This work was developed using the concept of arenização of Suertegaray (1987) and has as objective to investigate a possible correlation the occurrence enters of sands, the draining and the orientation of the sources. One is overcome as study area a sector of the Southwestern region of the Rio Grande do Sul with occurrence of you sand. The employed methodology used the following elements: a digital classification notsupervised (through fatiamento), method elaborated with use of the LEGAL programming language (Space Language for Algebraic Geoprocessamento) of the Spring, on the basis of 1989 the Landsat images; the confection of maps of orientation of the sources in Spring 4,3, through image SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) between geographic coordinates s 30° and 31° and w 55° and 56°, with space resolution of 90 meters and 20 meters (through the method of interpolation of the krigagem).</abstract>
